Raven-Symone literally grew up in front of the cameras. This child model and actress made her COSBY SHOW debut when she was three years old; her career has been unstoppable ever since. She went straight from THE COSBY SHOW to a four-year stint on the popular sitcom HANGIN’ WITH MR. COOPER, with guest appearances in THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR and SPACE GHOST along the way. She played the five-year-old Queen in the miniseries of the same name, was Stymie’s girlfriend in the 1994 big-screen LITTLE RASCALS, and voiced Goldilocks in HAPPILY EVER AFTER: FAIRY TALES FOR EVERY CHILD. She has also had memorable roles in both Eddie Murphy’s DOCTOR DOLITTLE feature films, as well as appearing as Nebula Wade in XENON: GIRL OF THE 21ST CENTURY. Her upcoming projects include starring roles in the 2002 series THAT’S SO RAVEN and the animated KIM POSSIBLE.
Raven-Symone hasn’t stopped at acting, though. She’s a singer as well, and has released two CDs. She has toured in the musical production A MOTHER’S PRAYER, and even sung as a warm-up act for boy band ‘N Sync. Somewhere in the midst of this hectic schedule, she finds time to attend high school in Atlanta.
Raven Hosts L.A. Fashion Show March 26, 2008
Oh so Raven! This time as the hostess with the mostess at the Christian Audigier Fashion show, which took place on March 11, 2008. Rumor has it that there are still more than a few, off the wall, photos of Raven at the event.
It seems that some of her fans were in disagreement over the suitability of her wardrobe choices, for the event. Some loved them and some thought they were just plain ugly. (When it comes down to it, it just depends how much you adore fishnets and purple skeletons.)
The whole think kind of makes you wonder if there’s a new line of Raven inspired clothing, in the works.
Raven talks about books and films! December 16, 2007
She may be the teen version of Martha Stewart, what with her own lifestyle and crafts website, but Raven Symone is still into what normal teens do – watch lots of movies and read some books. The only difference? The Disney star is into serious stuff. Take for example the current book she’s reading now, it’s “Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking” by Malcolm Gladwell. As I said, serious, adult stuff! Hehe! Her favorite books include “Poems of Passion,” by Ella Wheel Wilcox, “The Celestine Prophecy” by James Redfield, and “The Power of Intention” by Wayne W. Dyer. Have you ever heard of these books?? Yeah, I thought so! But, when it comes to films, Raven Symone is a teen all the way! Her three favorite movies are all done by the eccentric brothers Andy and Larry Wachowski. Yup, the former Cheetah girl is hung up on “The Matrix”, “The Matrix Reloaded” and “The Matrix Revolutions”. Great choices if I may say so! =)
Raven Symone is back!!! December 6, 2007
In the world of news that is, hehe! Being the private person that she is, it’s hard to get a hold of new stuff happening in the life of Raven Symone, ex-Cheetah Girl. But now, things are looking up. The OFFICIAL trailer of her upcoming movie is out and boy, it sure looks fun! You can view the video HERE (http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZQKeSKs0uV4). Raven Symone stars with Martin Lawrence in this family comedy film set for release on March 7, 2008. Oh yeah, before I forget, it’s entitled “College Road Trip” and the Disney star will play Rachel Porter, a young go-getter high school student who wants to be a public defender and takes a country trip to visit potential universities. Martin Lawrence will play Raven Symone’s overprotective father, who also happens to be a cop, and accompanies her in the trip. Funny parent-child brouhaha ensues =) Raven was last seen in 2004’s “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement” where she had a supporting role.
Raven Symone Presents! September 18, 2007
Raven Symone, star of Disney Channel’s funky show “That’s So Raven”, is a super private individual that news about her daily life comes in trickles. She is considered as a “normal kid” by entertainment standards and lives outside of Hollywood. Hmm, maybe that’s why Hollywood tabloids rarely write about her! So for fans hungering for their Raven fix, you can visit her “craft and food” website at RavenSymonePresents.com – its chock full of craft videos and ringtones! You can even download some items to your mobile phone! Ain’t that super cool? =)
In other Raven news, our favorite teen psychic is set to appear in California First Lady Maria Shriver’s annual conference. The 2007 Governor and First Lady’s Women’s Conference will be held on October 23 at the Long Beach Convention Center. Raven will be with international politicians (!!!) and luminaries; and also with other Hollywood stars like American Idol runner up Katherine McPhee, actresses Vanessa Williams and Jamie Lee Curtis, and of course, Maria’s husband — Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Rock on Raven!…
